One more in the series of artists that I admire, and their work.
All of this is at least a year old,
covering some scarring and bad work.
The photo was taken while he was doing the work.

I saw someone making fun of tattoo artists, here, on buzznet, recently.
It made me sad. The gentleman seemed poetic, cultured, and open~minded.
And literally over half of his friends, here, on buzznet, are Japanese.

There is much Japanese history in every single image that is on my body.
There is a representation of a woodblock print, by Yoshimoto,
accompanied by an entire story written in Kanji,
about music and liturature and art overpowering violence.
It was told by sages to emperors who warred too much...
The sparrows are the senders of messages and secrets.
They remind us of the changing of the seasons.
Where there is winter, there will always return a spring.
Each flower represents the season that a son was born,
or some spiritual growth.
And there is a progression of symbols from the Iching
that tell the story of my life...

Bugsy sells his canvassed paintings for quite a bit, now.
He knows histories of Japanese gods that I have never heard of.
I still don't tell people how much he charges me, because it's tiny tiny.
I collect his work, here, only.

This would explain why I liked wiloka's board...

Beautiful flowers and an even more beautiful story of their being.

I know tatoos aren't for everyone, but they really 'fit' you.... and your back here looks very cool.... ever think about have someone with a really good camera capture your tats in an artistic way?
sockmonkey: 12/04/2006 9:50 AM
I tried to do it myself in the black and white cell phone gallery.
Did alright. But that was prior to most of this work.
I actually liked them, though, because they showed defect.

Miss Grace, as usual, your name describes your being.

yeah... I saw your cell phone pics... they were very classy, but at the same time erotic.... making artistic nudes in b&w is cool, and having someone with a higher megapixel camera would be cool... I'd volunteer (LOL), but I think your too far away :((

wow, you have a Japanese art on your back, so big..., I can expect how many perseverance you had to have for that....
